Hammond 1553T Enclosures

The Hammond 1553T series offers ergonomically designed handheld enclosures engineered specifically for mobile data devices, test instruments, and remote controls. Moulded from UL94-V0 flame-retardant ABS plastic in grey (RAL 7035) or black (RAL 9011), each case features a dark grey overmoulded soft plastic side grip to ensure comfortable and secure handling during field use.

Designed for practical electronic builds, the 1553T range includes recessed top sections for membrane keypads or displays, alongside a rear label recess. The lap-joint construction provides IP54 protection against dust and splashing water, while integrated brass screw bushings support repeated assembly without damaging threads. Select models include removable end panels for custom cable gland access, as well as dedicated battery door compartments with battery clips for 4 x AA or 2 x 9V (PP3) cells.
