Enamelled Copper Wire 500g Reels
by JPR
High-Performance Enamelled Copper Winding Wire
This Enamelled Copper Wire (often referred to as Magnet Wire) is designed for the high-precision winding of coils, transformers, inductors, and motors. Supplied on substantial 500g reels, this wire is a staple for electronic manufacturing, repair workshops, and laboratory prototyping.
The wire features a Grade 2 Polyurethane coating, providing excellent dielectric strength while remaining "solderable." This means the insulation can be melted back by the heat of a soldering iron or bath, allowing for clean, reliable terminations without the need for manual stripping.
Key Applications:
- Inductive Components: Winding bespoke transformers, chokes, and solenoid coils.
- Motor Repair: Rewinding small motors and armatures.
- Educational Use: Demonstrating electromagnetism and building simple motors.
- RF Engineering: Creating high-quality RF inductors and antennas.
Safety & Compliance Information
At JPR, safety is paramount. Please observe the following technical guidelines during assembly:
- Solderability: The polyurethane coating is designed to be removed during the soldering process.
- Safety Warning: During soldering, the coating can produce small quantities of Toluene di-isocyanate (T.D.I).
- Extraction: We recommend using fume extraction to ensure workplace safety levels are maintained.
- Compliance: This product is fully RoHS compliant.
