Hammond 1553W Watertight Enclosure Series

The Hammond 1553W series provides IP65 watertight protection in an ergonomically designed handheld enclosure. Moulded from UV-stabilised, flame-retardant ABS plastic (FRABS) with comfortable grey soft-side grips, these enclosures are built for portable commercial and industrial electronic applications.

Each enclosure features tongue-and-groove construction with an installed one-piece silicone gasket to protect internal components against dust and water ingress. Designed with a recessed top cover for mounting membrane keypads or displays, the 1553W series includes integrated brass bushings and stainless steel machine screws to accommodate repeated opening and closing without wearing out internal threads.
