3.96mm header is mainly used as Power Connector and mounted on PC Board to connect with wire harness for interior connection of machines.

Modular 3.96mm (0.156") PCB connector system consisting of end-stackable socket connectors utilising crimp terminals, and which mate with PCB mounting pin headers (straight or 90°).
The crimp terminals incorporate double cantilever contacts, and the pin headers incorporate a friction lock.
Wire acceptance range 0.336-0.933mm.
