Switch-mode power supplies (AC/DC converters) are being used increasingly to replace standard transformers in many applications, offering increased power, energy saving, and significant weight reduction. Myrra 4700 series modules are a cost-effective and time saving alternative to linear PCB transformers in any AC/DC application up to 5W power rating, by replacing a 50Hz transformer, fuse, bridge rectifier, filtering capacitor, and voltage regulator all within a single package. Same size and pinout as an EI30 transformer, but only a third of the weight, and ready for direct soldering into a PCB. And they are fully certified: UL, CSA, VDE and ENEC approved.
