Overview

As distributors of electronic components, we are not involved in any aspect of the manufacture or design of the products we sell; however as part of the supply chain to our customers, we have worked closely with our Suppliers to ensure compliance wherever possible by the 1st July 2006 deadline.

The majority of our products are fully RoHS compliant, and the status of all products is monitored daily and can be viewed or downloaded in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format. This spreadsheet is updated daily and enables the current or interim status of any product to be checked.

Some products stocked by JPR are either exempt from, or outside the scope of RoHS, and so are unaffected by the directive. We also supply to various industries which are unaffected by the RoHS directive, and therefore we will continue to stock certain products which are not RoHS compliant.

It is therefore the users responsibility to verify the RoHS status of any product.

Identification

Products are only marked or identified as RoHS compliant where we are confident that all stocks of that product are fully compliant. Compliant products are indicated on our RoHS spreadsheet, and identified by the suffix “LFP” on both delivery notes and invoices.

RoHS compliance is based upon information provided by our suppliers. We have taken all reasonable steps to confirm this information, which is passed on in good faith and is given without responsibility or liability.

Website Identification
We will soon be updating our website with RoHS compliancy information, the symbols below will appear next to products or order codes.

Process changes

Where our suppliers have confirmed changes to processes required as a result of the change to RoHS compliant product, we will make this information available upon request. However it will remain the responsibility of each customer to test and verify for themselves that any new products will work with their processes, as JPR Electronics Ltd. cannot accept responsibility for failures.
